We’ve got mail!
Hi guys! Today, it's time to dig deep into our virtual mailbag and answer a burning question one of you have for us. Though it has nothing to do with Laurel, Yanny or who was best dressed at the Royal Wedding (Priyanka Chopra, obviously), we thought it was the perfect inquiry to dive into right before summer starts.
Dear Edoughble crew…can I have cookie dough and a beach body?
Are we stalking Insta for pictures of the newest addition to the Teigen-Legend family? Of course! In fact, some smart people say that eating dessert can actually help you reach your wellness goals. It's not that hard to understand why. Extremely restricting yourself leads to uncontrollable cravings and constant hanger. Which you can only manage for so long before you fall face first into a bucket of chicken.
A smarter strategy? Indulge in ways that work with your body, not against it. Here are 3 ways dessert and that dead gorgeous swimsuit you’ve been eyeing can peacefully coexist.
Make it a treat
We wish we could take credit for this one, but no, it's the brainchild of famous philosopher…Sarah Silverman. In her book "Bedwetter," Sarah shares this simple, beautiful idea. If you're working hard on your diet or in the gym, go ahead and dig into your favorite Edoughble flavor but make it a treat! Set up a special night with your CrossFit crew or a few of your friends and have some fun with a Dough It Yourself Kit. With clean, natural ingredients and mix-ins, it may even help fuel your morning box jumps the next day.
Scoop up a skinny mini
In our last post, we introduced you to our new 3.5 oz minis. While they are perfect for parties, these little guys are also ideal for portion control. If finishing any dessert you start is your MO, try a mini after dinner. They come in packs of 12 to 100 and, just like all our dough, it can last up to 6 months refrigerated and a year frozen. Let’s be real, 3.5 oz of anything is not going to undo all your hard work overnight. So, grab one and enjoy it!
Be sure the fit’s right
This one is less a strategy and a bit more of a PSA.
Make (clap) sure (clap) your (clap) swimsuit (clap) works (clap) for (clap) you!
Hating your body is so 10 years ago. We’re in love with all the body positivity that’s happening in the world today and want to see more of it! Do a little research or maybe even hire a stylist to get a second opinion on a suit you can rock. Life is short, find a cut you love and get out there!
So, thank you, for your question dear reader! We hope this helped, and we'll be soaking in the sun with you (don’t forget your SPF 50!) all summer long.
