]]>Spa Night
While we all deserve to be pampered, a spa day for your entire crew can become expensive quickly. Luckily, a spa night at home can be just as fun, and encourage you all to try some new products (or use up ones you’ve been saving for that special night!). Take a moment to set the mood by lighting some candles, turning on an essential oil diffuser, setting up some spa music, and mixing up some refreshing spa water, or steeping some comforting tea. A great face mask is a good go-to, but you can also take this time to let the rest of your body soak up some moisture with a deep conditioning hair mask, nourishing foot mask, or a soothing eye mask. You can also invite your friends to bring their favorite nail polish colors and set up stations for manis and pedis.
Yoga Night
Setting a date to move your body can make it that much easier to ensure that you get the physical activity your body needs. Plus, a yoga date can help make it easy to make time to connect with yourself and feel that sense of community without attending a class. Set the mood for your yoga time by dimming the lights and lighting candles, or take your experience outside by setting up space in your backyard or arranging to meet in a local park. There are several free yoga classes available that you can set up to stream depending on your mood, such as Yoga with Adriene, Fightmaster Yoga, DoYogaWithMe, Yoga with Kassandra, and YogiApproved.com.
Craft & Dessert Night
Crafting is a great way to relax as well as let go and allow creativity and inspiration to flow. Plus, it makes the perfect thing to do for a girl’s night in as conversation can flow naturally. One of the easiest ways to set this up is to host a bring your own coloring book night - you can supply the pens and coloring crayons, and encourage everyone to bring an adult coloring book of their own (bonus if the pages tear out as this can make swapping easy!). If you’d like to take things up a notch, a paint night at home is another great idea. Virtual paint nights like those hosted by Yaymaker make it easy to set up at home: all you need is acrylic paint, paintbrushes, and a canvas, and the instructor will guide you through the process live via video. Of course, crafting pairs perfectly with a sweet treat: we recommend picking up our Doughy Delicious Baked Cookies and heating them up for the perfect crafting snack.
Karaoke at Home
A good karaoke night is just plain fun, but if you’re intimidated by singing in front of a group of strangers - or just want to keep things a little casual - you can still enjoy the fun that karaoke presents at home. Of course, if someone in your girl group has a karaoke machine that makes things easy, but you don’t need a professional set-up to get a karaoke party going. Just search for your song choice + karaoke version on YouTube to find a track you can sing along with. Take things up a notch by choosing prizes for certain categories like Best Duet, Best Costume, or Best Dancing Performance.
Game Night
Games are one of the best ways to have fun with friends - no matter whether you’re into something that’ll bring out the laughs or involve some intense strategizing. Cards Against Humanity is a go-to for any party night, while Jackbox Games allows you to experience similar fun virtually. For strategizers, Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride make great options. And if you’d rather work together than compete, opt for a co-op board game like Pandemic or Gloomhaven. And keep in mind that a game night doesn’t have to be traditional board games. Step outside the box with a virtual escape room at home like The Escape Game Virtual Adventure or The Grimm Escape. Or, get some physical gaming options like Super Mario Party or try Just Dance for a dance party at home.
Clothing Swap
Got some clothes in the back of your closet that are in good condition yet you just don’t find yourself wearing? Allow yourself an opportunity to clean out your closet while also refreshing your wardrobe by hosting a clothing swap (jewelry and shoes go to0!) with your girlfriends. An easy way to set this up is to ask everyone to bring at least 3-5 gently used items and organize tables based on size, setting aside an extra table for things that are unsized such as purses and jewelry. Once you’ve all done your shopping, any leftover items can be donated to a local thrift store to ensure that all your previously loved items will get a new home.
PJ Brunch
Brunching makes for a great girl’s date or girl’s night in - no matter what time of day it is! Plus, by hosting it at home, you can keep things cozy by encouraging everyone to show up in their comfiest pajamas and bring their slippers. Keep things easy by opting for brunch recipes that are baked in the oven - such as frittatas, quiches, or Sheet Pan Pancakes (which would be a treat topped with our Milk n' Cookies Edible Cookie Dough!) Or, make it a potluck and assign everyone a part of brunch, such as coffee, doughnuts, or scones.

]]>Take a Bath
Water is so refreshing and when you pair that with a great bath bomb or your favorite bubble bath, you are well on your way to a relaxing day or night. In addition to picking out some bath goodies, create a retreat in your bathroom by adding a few items to make it a little more spa-like. We suggest a bathtub tray to give you a spot for a drink (or container of edible cookie dough!), a Bluetooth speaker to play nature sounds or soothing music, and a pillow to rest your head on the edge of the bathtub. And, of course, light some candles to set the mood and set out some soft towels or a cozy robe to slip into post-soak. Whether you’re a regular soaker or not, consider picking up something new to make your bath extra luxurious and truly treat yourself:
Bath Bombs: They come in many cute shapes and colors, amazing scents, and turn your water a fun color! Try Simply AC’s That’s the Tea Bath Bomb, which creates gorgeous and moisturizing silver colored bubbles and is scented with earl grey tea
Bubble Bar - if you loved bubbles in your bath when you were little you are going to love using bubble bars. They have so many lovely different scents and they produce so many bubbles! Try Mountain Madness Soap Co.’s Rock Candy Bubble Bar, which has the scent of sweet sugar and creates luxe pink bubbles.
Epsom Salts: If you’re looking to soothe sore muscles, give a bath soak with Epson salts a try. We love Waterbody’s Wildflower Bath Soak, which contains a variety of mineral salts to soothe the skin and antioxidant-rich flower petals.
Body Scrub: Usually made out of sugar or salt alongside moisturizing oils, a body scrub is a great way to gentle exfoliate and leave your skin feeling super soft. We love Muse Bath Body Ritual Scrub, which locks in moisture with coconut oil and has the refreshing scent of eucalyptus and lavender essential oils.
Learn Something New
If there has been a hobby, or different language, or anything that you have wanted to learn how to do, take the time to try it out. YouTube has a lot of amazing tutorials for almost anything, so if there has always been a craft, or recipe, or anything that you have wanted, set aside an evening to dive in. It might not be easy right away but, with practice, you will get there in no time! Remember we all had to learn how to do the things we are amazing at now, so go easy on yourself and enjoy the process and make it just another way to treat yourself. If you’re looking to get a little more intense, try out SkillShare, which offers classes in a variety of areas like music, photography, web development, or marketing, or try Craftsy to try your hand at sewing, cake decorating, or knitting.
Rearrange or Redecorate a Spot In Your Home
Changing up a space in your home can completely change the energy in that area. Moving furniture around, adding in a new piece of art, or even just repainting the walls a new color can make a space feel brand new. When things don’t get moved around, the energy can become stagnant and familiar. Remember the feeling of moving into a new space and getting to decorate? It doesn’t have to take moving to have that feeling again. If you don’t want to go with a complete makeover, try creating a little reading nook indoors or outdoors for a cozy new spot to seek inspiration.
Make a Playlist of Your Favorite Old Songs
Long gone are the days when we would burn CDs of our favorite songs, but we can still make playlists on many different great streaming services. There is a high chance you already have a playlist going, but do you have one of your favorite old songs from years ago? Take a walk down memory lane and look up some of those older songs you used to listen to, make a playlist, and put it on. Rock out like you used to, sing to your heart's content. dance around the house, or even go out for a drive just by yourself, with nowhere specific you need to be. Even just listening to the music you enjoyed at a different time in your life can transport you back there, if only for a moment.
Plan a Dream Trip
Is there somewhere that you have always wanted to go to but thought it was out of reach? The cost of going on trips can be discouraging but, with planning, you can do it! A fun way to bring your dream trip to life is to make a dream board. Pick up a poster board, and start finding some fun pictures online to print out.
Say for example you have always wanted to visit California, try printing out pictures that remind you of the state such as a picture of the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, or Edoughble’s Sweet Shop. To work towards achieving your dream trip:
Once you’ve determined the cost of your dream trip, open up a savings account and put in a little money here or there, or maybe even create a cute little piggy bank to save any extra change or cash. You will be surprised how fast your money will add up without feeling as though you’re sacrificing anything so you can treat yourself sooner rather than later.
Spend Some Time Outside
Nature is always nice to spend time in, even if it's just your backyard. You could always pack a picnic and go to the park, or take a day hike with a friend, significant other, or your pet. Take a trip to the beach for the day, or just sunbathe in the backyard. Spending time under the sun is a great way to make sure you get that Vitamin D, but don't forget to protect yourself from the sun so you don't get a sunburn.
Have a Movie Night
Sometimes the best way to treat yourself is to allow yourself to not do anything. Take a day to just relax and do the things that you enjoy without the worry of needing to go do the laundry or wash the dishes. Take time to schedule out your day of pure relaxation, so you’re able to truly let go and not worry about things that you might have to get done. We recommend picking a day that you don’t have any plans or responsibilities and use the days leading up to your date with yourself to do a little extra to make sure you don’t have any chores or anything kept in the back of your mind you feel like you should do. To make your movie night great, try:
Trying to balance work, home life and personal goals, it seems like there is never enough time in the day. As our to-do list gets longer, it's easy to feel a constant need to go-go-go, surging from one item to the next. However, pushing ourselves too hard can actually yield negative results.
No matter what is on your schedule, carving out designated time to do the things you love is not only healthy but will also increase both your happiness and productivity.
]]>Trying to balance work, home life and personal goals, it seems like there is never enough time in the day.
A Stanford study recently proved that working more hours in a day does not result in higher productivity. According to John Pencavel, a researcher and professor at the University, "workers need time to recover from work". The article states that all forms of mental and physical work result in some degree of fatigue.
While you may not feel physically tired, this can result in brain fog or trouble concentrating on the task at hand, which decreases overall productivity. Research has shown that taking a break can "dramatically" increase your focus and performance when you return to your desk.
So, take time to reward yourself for a task well done. Whether with a quick walk, a few minutes scrolling through your social media feeds or a break for a sweet treat (Edoughble - edible cookie dough, hint hint), you're doing your career a favor.
Speaking of a sweet treat, did you know that eating dessert can help you lose weight? It's true! In a 2017 article, Shape Magazine cites a Tel Aviv study proving that people who eat dessert are more successful in losing weight than those who did not.
Following a restrictive diet can allow cravings to build up. This not only makes us miserable but, since we can't satisfy the craving, it can lead to overeating. Rewarding yourself for a successful day of following your diet by treating yourself with your favorite sweet can help keep cravings at bay and even increase your overall happiness since one of the benefits of eating processed sugar is an instant release of mood-boosting endorphins.
Whether your weakness is edoughble (edible cookie dough) and ice-cream, chocolate or even doughy delicious cookies, go for it (in moderation)! Your body and mind will thank you, plus it doesn’t hurt to treat yourself every now and then.
From housework to bills, there is always something needing to be done around the home. If you have kids, this is even more true. Add any personal goals, exercise and social obligations and you have a packed schedule.
Just as it's important to take time to reward yourself at work or in your diet, the same concept applies to your personal life. Rewarding yourself with your favorite treat (such as edoughble edible cookie dough!) for completing your least favorite chores can lead to long-lasting benefits.
According to Tony Robbins, a world-renowned motivational speaker, by treating ourselves after completing an activity we dread, we can re-wire our brains to feel more positively toward that activity. For example, if you hate housework, try coming up with a treat to reward yourself once you've finished a particular chore. Over time, if you continue treating yourself each time you finish that task, your brain will start to link the activity with the reward. As a result, you will not only stop dreading that chore, but you may even look forward to it.
Using this approach works because we all know that we tend to conquer tasks we like (or at least don't dread) with more energy and enthusiasm, getting them done much faster. Plus, we're happier doing them.
In need of a fun night in to relax by yourself, spend time with your family, or connect virtually with friends? A movie night is a perfect way to do this. Rather than just scrolling through Netflix, make it an experience with a little set-up. We promise it’s worth it.
Set a Theme
Rather than just mindlessly scouring through your streaming channels to find a movie you’re in the mood to watch, make it a true experience by setting a theme to settle in for a movie marathon. Choose a classic theme to stick to like your favorite series, slapstick comedies, sports movies, westerns, action flicks, or animated films. You can also get creative and choose movies that take place in a certain time or era like celebrating movies of the ‘80s or ‘90s, or opt for films featuring a favorite actor, or within a certain theme, like natural disasters or royalty movies. Once you have your theme, head over to Pinterest and start planning out fun food that goes with your theme, festive decor, or even brainstorm costume ideas.
Create a Comfy Space
One of the best parts about watching a movie at home is the ability to get truly comfortable. Grab yourself all the comfy pillows, super soft blankets, and tidy up a little (or move any clutter to another room) so that you can truly relax and sink in for the movie. Consider also turning off the overhead lights and shutting the curtains to truly set the mood, or take things up a notch by lighting candles or hanging fairy lights. Don’t forget about what you’re wearing either: change into your comfy sweats or PJ’s so that you’re all set to get cozy. You can even toss all your blankets, duvets, and pillows onto the floor to create a movie watching space that is easy to curl up in. If you plan on having plenty of movie nights, consider investing in poufs, bean bag chairs, or weighted blankets to get even cozier. Big movie watchers might also consider investing in a projector (which can make for awesome outdoor movie nights) or speakers.
Choose Your Movies
Sometimes picking your movie selection can be the hardest part of planning the night! Setting a theme is a great way to help you to narrow things down and, if you’re totally stuck, stick to a trilogy. If you’re planning on a movie night with friends and family, you can also ‘crowdsource’ suggestions and vote on them to select your flick. If you’re completely strapped for choices, try a website like AGoodMovietoWatch.com, which allows you to search by categories like genre, mood, country, and release date to make it easy to find movies that suit your theme. Or, if you want something completely new that takes the decision making out of your hands, try Netflix Roulette, which allows you to choose a genre and rating and presents you with your movie option for the night.
Grab the Snacks
What’s a good movie night without awesome snacks? Order take-out from your favorite local spot and get the popcorn poppin’. For something sweet, opt for your favorite edible cookie dough flavor or choose one that matches the theme of your movie selection: we recommend S’more Please Edible Cookie Dough for outdoor movie nights, Classic Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough for ‘90’s movies marathons, or Snicker-Dude Edible Cookie Dough for romcoms. You can also get creative with what you make: for example, for movies taking place in a cold environment, whip up a frozen treat like these Paleo Ice Cream Sammys.
Ask Questions
Sometimes what truly makes a good movie night is the discussion afterward. If you’re having a group movie night, consider asking inspiring questions about who your favorite character was, what your favorite scene was, or how you might have shot the movie differently. If you’re sticking to something solo, consider keeping a movie journal where you give the movie your own rating and even sharing it on social media to recommend a good flick to your friends - or warn them to stay away.
Take it Online
In the time of social distancing - or maybe you just want to connect with friends and family from afar - an online movie night can be a great option. Teleparty is a great way to share Netflix, try Hulu Party or Amazon Prime Watch Party. If you’re wanting to hear your friend’s voice, screen sharing on Discord is a great option - and you can even invite your friends to dress up with the theme in mind and hop on video chat to see everyone’s creativity. And don’t forget sharing snacks just because you aren’t in person - getting everyone their own Dough It Yourself Kit to create their own edible cookie dough treat makes a creative and fun movie night activity.
]]>While we’re all prone to feeling a little bit isolated and down these days, doing something for others is a great way to boost your own mood - and we call that a win-win! Here are five of our favorite ways to spread some joy throughout your neighborhood with small acts of kindness:
Send Some Cheer
There’s something about receiving a little gift at your doorstep that can help to brighten your day! Spread some positivity with a delivery of fresh flowers, a handmade card, a meal from a local restaurant, or a sweet treat in the form of edible cookie dough. Sending a little gift can also help open up the lines of communication between neighbors, so you’re able to provide help in celebrating birthdays during COVID or provide you with a way to check in regularly with your neighbors.
Decorate Your Home
With so many of us being cooped up, we’re all itching to get out for some fresh air and a walk for a change of scenery. Decorating your home can be a great way to brighten up the neighborhood and bring a smile to your neighbor’s faces. Whether it’s leaving your holiday lights up a little longer, keeping your garden in gorgeous condition, hanging pictures in your windows, or writing some inspirational chalk messages on the sidewalk, get creative in how you add some decor outside. You can also extend your decoration of the neighborhood by posting notes of encouragement throughout your neighborhood or hiding painted rocks.
Share Your Quarantine Favorites
When we’re spending time indoors, we’re all looking for things to keep us busy. So, why not host a swap of your favorite DVD’s, board games, puzzles, and books? Search for a local Facebook group to offer up sharing some of these favorite things, look for a local little free library to swap, or host a free garage sale. Supporting local is also so important during this time, so don’t be afraid to share a favorite local restaurant for take-out or highlight a local business with awesome curbside pick-up. If you’ve mastered something new during quarantine - like baking bread or crafting - offer to host a neighborhood class via Zoom to share what you’ve learned with your neighbors.
Offer Your Help
If you’re able, offering your help will not only do a world of good for someone who may be unable to venture out, but it also helps you feel good. Put up a note and let your neighbors know that you’re able to help with getting groceries or picking up prescriptions. Other things that people might need help with is meal prep, walking their dog, or taking care of their yard. If you’re looking to be connected with people who could use a hand, there are many COVID-friendly and remote volunteer opportunities available. If you’re unable to help, simply working on being considerate of others and giving them space is another way to practice being a kind neighbor. Keep in mind that some neighbors - especially those who live alone - may be feeling especially lonely during this time. Offer to do a social-distancing friendly video chat, or try to arrange a neighborhood group activity on Zoom.
Get Dressed Up
If you’ve got an awesome costume hanging around, why not put it on and go for a little walk through your neighborhood? People of all ages will get a kick out of it. If you’re feeling a little less brave, you could also dress up your pets. Many people are also getting creative and doing social distancing friendly parades - whether it’s by foot or car - complete with music that can help spread joy through your neighborhood.
]]>We know, with so many awesome edible cookie dough flavors, it can be difficult to choose! If you’re not quite sure what to dive into next, we’ve created a guide to picking the perfect cookie dough flavor for your personality. How does your choice stack up?

If you’ve been into reading more during quarantine, why not set up a virtual book club? Whether you decide to host weekly or monthly, it provides you with a fun way to stay in touch as well as set up some reading goals for yourself. Brew yourself up a warm cup of coffee and set up Zoom, allowing the conversation about the book to develop naturally, or get inspired with these 40 Best Discussion Questions for Any Book. And, for an added treat, may we suggest some of our Delicious Doughy Cookies to go alongside your coffee?
Get Active Together
Staying active is that much more fun with friends - plus, the added accountability can make it that much easier to ensure that you stick to your movement goals. Try chatting on the phone while taking a run or walk in your own neighborhoods, or start an online fitness challenge together like Yoga with Adriene’s 30 Day Yoga Journey, Tone It Up’s 21 Day Fitness Program, or Kayla Itsines’ 28 Day Bodyweight Workout Plan and make a plan to check in with each other each day. If you’re needing more live motivation, set up a video chat and take an online class together such as one through OBE Fitness or Peloton. You can even add each other as friends through the fitness tracker you use for a little friendly competition.
Share Photos
It’s always fun to see what your loved ones are up to, and sharing photos is a great way to do this. While typical social media channels are awesome, you can also create a closed Facebook group to share family photos or set up a Shutterfly account, which makes it easy for family members to order prints of photos they love to feel even more connected.
Hold a Virtual Paint Night
Crafting is a great way to get creative and social - as well as give you something to look forward to! If you have a local painting studio, try checking to see if they have any kits available for curbside pickup, and then set a time to video chat and paint with your friends. If not, many online services make it easy to set up for a virtual paint night such as Yaymaker or PaintingParties.com.
Plan Future Trips
While we’re all experiencing wanderlust these days, why not capitalize on it and daydream together? Set up a Pinterest Group Board and use it to share inspiration for a future trip with your loved ones. Encourage your loved ones to search for your dream destination and pin gorgeous travel photos, ideas of activities and restaurants to check out, and travel outfit inspiration.
]]>The holidays can always be a stressful time, but with things looking so different this year, we can be even more prone to experiencing stress and overwhelm. To help keep the magic and joy of the season while also taking the time for calm and stillness, here are a few simple ways to reduce holiday stress.
Reframe Your Thoughts
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, it can be easy for your thoughts to turn negative, which can then really impact your mood. Although it can seem almost impossible to change your thoughts, focusing on how you want your holiday season to go can really start to impact how you feel. Try choosing a word or phrase that reflects how you want your holiday season to feel, whether it is joyous or calm. Placing this word somewhere you can see, such as on your tree or on your bathroom mirror, can really help you begin to reflect on it and feel this way.
Nourish Your Body
While we’re all for indulging in some Milk N’ Cookies like St. Nick, in times of stress we can struggle with practicing healthy habits, which can make our bodies even more prone to the effects of stress. Taking the time to nourish your body with the food it needs can help increase your energy levels and help you feel your best, which can help reduce holiday stress. If you’re feeling particularly overwhelmed, focusing on mini-meals with a good combination of carbs, protein, and healthy fats can make it easy to nourish your body. We suggest a quick smoothie, or nosh on a festive trail mix with some nuts, dark chocolate, and dried cranberries. If you’re having trouble prioritizing your wellness, these four apps can help to keep you healthy throughout the holiday season.
Focus on Experiences
During the holidays, we can get so wrapped up in finding the perfect gift that we forget to focus on the things that truly make this season special. Rather than looking at the material things, try to create memorable moments and experiences, such as baking your favorite holiday treat, having a cozy holiday movie night, or going for a Christmas light drive. If you do opt for gifts, try to slow down and focus on meaningful, personalized gifts to practice mindful gifting. You can even pre-arranged plans for gifting with your loved ones, such as sticking within a targeted price range, opting for secret Santa over exchanging a gift with anyone, or focusing on only handmade gifts or activities.
Enjoy Your Favorite Things About the Season
Rather than trying to do it all, take a little time to plan out what you want to prioritize for the season, and make a list of a few must-have moments to make your holiday feel special. Also, keep in mind that it doesn’t all have to be done before the 25th - you can extend the holiday season to enjoy what you want in your own time to help prevent you from feeling that pressure.
Foster Connection
The holidays are truly about connecting with our loved ones, so make sure to make this a priority, whether it’s connecting with friends for a Zoom game night or meeting up with family for a virtual holiday movie night using Teleparty, Hulu Watch Party, or Amazon Watch Party. This is also a wonderful time to give back to others, whether it be baking cookies to share with a neighbor, sending holiday cards to those in senior homes, or practicing one (or more!) of these five warm and fuzzy ways to give back.
Stay Present
When we’re experiencing stress during the holidays, it can easy for our minds to wander and think about what’s to come rather than focusing on enjoying the moment we’re in. One of the easiest ways to practice mindfulness and staying present during the holiday season is to use your senses: think about how each bite of food feels in your mouth, how holiday music sounds, the smells of cooking and Christmas trees that surround you, and the coziness of a warm sweater against your skin. Allow yourself to experience each moment without judgment, and just observe it for what it is.
Say No & Make Time for You
We can have a tendency to overdo it during the holidays and focus on pleasing others rather than ourselves. Don’t forget to make yourself a priority and say no when you need to, so you can say yes to yourself. Think about what self-care methods feel restorative for you, whether it’s taking a warm bubble bath, getting in some exercise, or heading to bed early for extra rest. If you’re needing ideas, check out our 7 favorite ways to practice self-care and self-love every day.

INVITATION EXCITEMENT
ACTIVITIES
Once the party has officially begun, and everyone’s eaten, you can break out these games that can all be played with two or more people.
Now for the best part… DESSERTS
According to the CDC, you should not eat homemade raw cookie dough. Why? In homemade raw cookie dough there are a few ingredients that can cause life-threatening illnesses.
Raw Flour: Usually, store-bought flour is not treated to kill the E. Coli that resides in it because it’s assumed it will be cooked before consumption, thereby killing the bacteria. Consuming raw flour means ingesting E. Coli, which can cause terrible stomach cramps and bloody diarrhea. In a 2016 outbreak, one patient went into kidney failure as a result.
Raw Eggs: Commonly known to carry salmonella, raw eggs should never be eaten raw. However, since the CDC’s ominous warning against the consumption of raw cookie dough, many freedom fighters thought to cook their eggs first, not use eggs at all, or get pasteurized eggs that have specifically been treated against salmonella as a way around this danger.
Salmonella poisoning is no small matter, though, with about 450 people dying a year as a result of it in the USA.
Leavening: Not all recipes call for leavening agents like baking soda, but many of the best ones do. Leavening is activated by acids - very much like the ones that process the foods in your stomach - which means that consuming it raw, combined with the other raw ingredients, will cause the dough to try to begin rising in your stomach.
How can we repeat the CDC’s warnings against eating raw cookie dough, yet have the greatest brand of raw cookie dough the nation has ever seen? Good question. Let’s take a look at who and what make up Edoughble and its famous tastes.
Rana Lustyan, founder and Head Chef at Edoughble, is a classically trained French chef that attended the world famous culinary school of Le Cordon Bleu. “Le Cordon Bleu is an international chain of hospitality and culinary schools teaching French cuisine. Its educational focuses are hospitality management, culinary arts, and gastronomy. The institution consists of 35 institutes in 20 countries and has over 20,000 students of many different nationalities.”
To create the world’s greatest raw cookie dough recipes, Rana only uses real, all-natural ingredients like hormone-free butter and alcohol-free vanilla bean extract. To make it 100% safe to eat, Edoughble takes more steps than anyone in the industry. Each batch of cookie dough has NO egg, NO raw flour and NO chemical leavening. We go further and also have all the recipes lab tested, to ensure the highest standard of quality and safety.
Ultimately, you want to be happy, and cookie dough makes everyone happy, but what really makes Edoughble stand out is our relentless dedication to quality.
Non-GMO Project verified, directly sourced, pure ingredients (vanilla extract from Madagascar only, for example), and all professionally crafted, you can trust the cookie dough you’re buying from Edoughble will be nothing but the safest and tastiest.
The best part? We spend all our time and energy creating new and exciting flavors, which means you have the opportunity to get a little bit of the best of all the worlds - chocolate chip, strawberry, birthday cake, cookies and cream, and so, so much more. Instead of having to get ingredients for dozens of flavors of dough yourself, and having to cook large enough batches for each flavor, you can have a box of multiple flavors in your freezer that you can call upon at your leisure.
Need a little pick-me-up after a hard day at work? Take some Peanut Butter cookie dough out of the freezer, mix it with a little Chocolate Chip off the Ol’ Block, and drown in the flavored goodness. No mess, no waiting, no recipes… just a taste of heaven at your beck and call.

RECIPE FOR COOKIE DOUGH & ICE CREAM SAMMIES:
*Let your choice of ice cream sit outside on the counter for 15-20 minutes to soften slightly.
*Meanwhile, press chilled cookie dough (mom's favorite flavor), into a rectangular mold - I found this one on amazon but any shape will do!
*Freeze for 30 min
*Then spread ice cream on top and freeze another 30 min
*Lastly press more cookie dough as the final layer and freeze 30 min to 1 hour. Be sure the sammies are frozen before unmolding them!
*Bonus! Melt chocolate chips in the microwave and dip half the sammie into the melted chocolate prior to DEVOURING!

If you don’t understand what it is to love yourself, you stand little chance of fully experiencing and benefiting from real self-love. Not to be confused with self-care, self-love means loving yourself unapologetically. It is not something you can achieve through buying new clothes or getting a manicure. You obtain it through a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth. Though there are a ton of ways to practice Self-Love, we have chosen our 7 favorite.
7 Ways to Practice Self-Love
Start small! Pick one or two of these actions to work on. You will start to notice a difference! Just imagine how much you'll appreciate you when you exercise all seven! It is true that you can only love a person as much as you love yourself. The more self-love you have for yourself, the better prepared you are to live a kinder, more fulfilled life. Plus, you will start to attract people and circumstances to you that support your well-being.

It's January 2020. Gym memberships are at an all time high for the next few weeks, and everyone's resolutions have taken over your social media feed. You may have even made some yourself. Whether you are killing it and sticking to the goal you set for yourself or struggling, we encourage you to add TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF to the list, because no one else can.
The concept of prioritizing and taking time for yourself has been around for centuries. Philosophers like Plato proclaimed the benefits of reflection and contemplation. Mindfulness has its roots in Buddhism. Ancient Greeks were all about self love – or Philautia, as they called it then.
But what is self care? The dictionary defines it as ‘the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness’. It also mentions that this is particularly important at periods of high stress. As it feels like the entire planet (including the climate) are feeling strained at the moment, it’s maybe unsurprising that Google searches for self care have doubled over the last two years.
What a person defines as their version of self care changes from individual to individual. For some it’s a bubble bath and a good book, for others it’s a kale smoothie and 1000 burpees....Burpees?! No thanks! However you choose to do it, at its core, self care is all about listening to what your mind and body needs and giving it to yourself, guilt free.
Here are a few of our favorite suggestions for self love and care to add into your daily routine.
7 ways to practice self love and care everyday:
Have fun! Get out there and do the things that light your fire. Enjoy them, enjoy being you and enjoy your life. Oh, and always eat cookie dough. That's our favorite form of self care.
]]>Tell me about Envisioning
Changing our thoughts can change our reality. We all have 60,000 to 70,000 thought per day and 90% of them are the same thoughts we had yesterday.
The same thoughts lead to the same choices
The same choices lead to the same behaviors
The same behaviors lead to the same experiences
The same experiences produce the same emotions
And the same emotions drive the same thoughts….
Substituting these automatic thoughts with deliberate and intentional thoughts and visions about what we want in our lives day after day will change our emotions and our actions to reflect the new person we want to become. Create your vision and see it so clearly that it will become your reality. Picture yourself in the life you want to live. Picture yourself as the person you want to be. And then try to feel what it feels like to be this person in this position.
You don’t know what it feels like yet, and that’s ok. Just feel what you imagine it to feel like.
Do this several times a day. Do it in meditation and in journaling throughout your day.
This sounds BOGUS. Prove it!
Ok fine, below are a few examples to prove it to you. They are pretty amazing and total proof that your thoughts become a reality.
Where are my Science nerds at?
In our email I gave an example of mirror neuron in an experiment with monkeys. Below are 3 more examples showing that are thoughts are powerful tools that can change our reality.
There you have it. Three different examples proving that our thoughts can change our realities.
Self Fulfilling Prophecy
I’m not suggesting life will always be easy if you have the right thoughts, or that blessings will be showered upon you if you simply start thinking positively. But negative thinking sets you back. So many of us take a passive approach to our thinking. We allow negative thoughts and expectations to freely flow into our mind. Or worse, we actively feed our minds negative and pessimistic thoughts about the future. It doesn’t have to be that way. You can proactively create a new reality for yourself.
Hello 2020!
Below is a list of prompts that will help you with your envisioning exercise. As 2019 comes to a close and we welcome 2020 with open arms, we want to reflect on the positive, practice gratitude for all the amazing things in our lives and envision the new me in 2020. A tub of cookie dough by your side will help this exercise and keep the happy juices flowing, of course! Lets think about the below questions to answer this question: Where will you be in your life 5-10 years from now?
Now, consider the last step and work your way back to the first. This is actually a valuable and practical strategy for making your vision a reality.
Now stop reading and start envisioning your victories. YOU GOT THIS!

Cookie dough is one thing that makes people feel happy. It is nostalgic and evokes fun memories of childhood, often simpler, carefree times. Our mission is to bring people closer to happiness so while we will continue to make premium, all natural and delicious cookie dough, we also want to connect with you in other ways that will bring you more happiness. So lets dig in to the topic of Gratitude, it is the perfect time of year to be thinking about this if we do say so ourselves.
]]>Tell me about Gratitude
Practicing gratitude can help you overcome challenging times. Practicing gratitude will help you elevate your energetic vibrations which is essential for attracting more of what you want in your life. Studies have shown that grateful people tend to be happier people. There is a reason verbs such as exercise and practice are associated with gratitude. We practice gratitude and we learn exercises to help us feel and eventually master this emotion.
How do we practice Gratitude
Firstly, many of our thoughts and feelings are autogenerated after years of experiences where we are told to think and feel and react in particular ways. One change in our perspective as we go about our day to day is to think about everything that happens in life as happening FOR us and not TO us. Do not be the victim. We are in control of our mindset.
Where are my Science nerds at?
Researchers have found that both voluntary and involuntary smiling has the same effect on brain activity. You can actually convince your brain and body that you’re happy even when you’re not just by forcing yourself to smile. “Acting happy, regardless of feelings, coaxes one’s brain into processing positive emotions,” Thoughts become things. There, we said it again.
Below are 3 strategies that will help you harness the positive health effects of gratitude.
Pretty cool to learn that expressing gratitude even when nothing especially triggering is going on can increase your well-being and help regulate stress. So why not make gratitude a part of your daily life?
As busy adults now, who look back fondly on those childhood years, hoping to bring moments of fun and silliness back to our everyday chaos with spoonfools of Edoughble, it is so easy to get swept away in the fast lane and forget to stop and show your appreciation for what you do have. A few last minute notes to take home for the holidays.
The Dalai Lama famously said, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” The same rings true for generosity!
]]>The Dalai Lama famously said, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” The same rings true for generosity!
Studies have shown that the person who benefits most from generosity is the person who is giving it out.
Like a healthy diet (cookie dough included), exercise, and good genes, generosity may increase your life span. A 2003 research study at the University of Michigan reveals that the positive effects of generosity include improving one’s mental and physical health and promoting longevity. Generosity can help reduce stress, support one’s physical health and enhance one’s sense of purpose.
So what is it about generosity that makes it so critical to a happy and healthy life? First, it’s important to acknowledge that the form of generosity that most benefits us isn’t measured in a dollar amount or a physical gain. What matters is the sensitivity we offer another person. The more directly we see our personal efforts impact someone else, the more we benefit from the experience of giving.
The second direct benefit we gain from giving is that generosity inadvertently shifts our focus off of ourselves. While it’s important to maintain a healthy level of self-awareness and sensitivity to oneself, often the focus we put on ourselves can be negative. Many of our thoughts about ourselves are filled with criticism, stress, doubt, uncertainty and obsession, none of which do any good for our level of confidence and success.
Generosity is a natural confidence builder. Not only does it make us feel better about ourselves, but it actively fights feelings of isolation and depression. People who battle depression have been shown to benefit from volunteering, as it gives them a sense of value and purpose while placing them in a social environment.
In being generous, the sensitivity that we feel toward another person allows us to be more sensitive to ourselves. A study of children found that when kids were offered praise without doing anything to warrant it, their self-esteem was unaffected. Conversely, when kids were praised for actual acts, such as generosity, their self-esteem was enhanced. The same principle holds true for all of us. Being built up with compliments has little effect on our self-worth, whereas the gratification of being generous enhances our sense of self. When we are in a giving state, we are more relaxed, attuned, and living in the moment. This state of being is contagious; people who are generous often create a snowball effect in others who in turn want to pay it forward.
As the holiday seasons approaches, most of us naturally begin to accelerate and kick into action, throwing ourselves into end-of-the-year activities and planning New Year resolutions. If there is anything that you are going to take away from this conversation, let it be that gratitude should always be an important part of the equation. Show your appreciation for the generosity that is directed toward you. When you receive that delicious box of cookie dough, resist the temptation to say things like “This is too much,” or “You shouldn’t have.” Instead just say “Thank you!” Or, better yet, let the person know what their generosity means to you. Life presents us with hundreds of opportunities to be generous; by making a lifestyle out of generosity, we can do ourselves and others around us a world of good.
]]>While parents everywhere are secretly (or maybe not so secretly) doing a happy dance, kiddos are getting ready to switch gears from pool parties and playdates to the regular school day grind. While they may not be ready to say goodbye to sweet summertime freedom, there is one aspect of going back to school that gets them fired up: lunchtime!
There is always something so exciting about the lunchtime buildup. All morning, you’d wonder what goodies are tucked inside your special lunchbox.
Would you be negotiating a sandwich swap?
Perhaps a treat trade?
Or, would it be another type of edible exchange with one of your classmates?
By the time the lunch bell rang, you were prepared to wheel and deal your way to the perfect packed lunch.
So what does it take for these hungry hustlers to become lunchtime legends? Some serious snack swag packed up by super cool parents of course! These rockstar peeps are the only thing standing between a delicious lunchtime deal and a lunchbox letdown, so packing up some bargain-worthy bites for the cafeteria is a must!
If you’re a parent looking for a bit of lunchbox inspiration, you’re in luck! We’re sharing the top tasty tips from two awesome moms who happen to run two amazing cookie-centric companies. Today, Denise Woodard, founder of Partake Foods, and Rana Lustyan of Edoughble are sharing how they’ve perfected the packed lunch to beat the #lunchboxletdown! Get ready for the ultimate cool mom’s guide to level up lunchtime!
Tasty Tips from Denise Woodard, founder of Partake Foods
As a super cool mom, what do you pack to beat the lunchbox let down?
Thankfully, Vivi's school provides lunch daily, but for long summer days on the go, she takes our favorite lunchbox - the OmieBox! With her dietary restrictions, some traditional options are off the table, but we still make it fun (& healthy!). We do lots of quinoa salads or pasta salads, made with our fave chickpea pasta, Banza. A favorite lunchbox recipe of ours is Cookie and Kate's quinoa salad. It’s chock full of veggies and chickpeas, so it's healthy and allergy-friendly, and most importantly, tastes great! We typically add a fruit (Vivi gets to choose which fruit!), a Babybel cheese, and a Partake cookie for dessert!
A Scrumptious Sneak Peek Inside the Lunch Box Prep of Rana Lustyan of Edoughble
What enviable eats are inside the lunchboxes you prep?
I pack lunch for my 5-year-old daughter Riley and my 4-year-old daughter, Emma. Emma enjoys making her lunch with me. She chooses from 2 sandwich options and the shape she'd like the sandwich to be cut out into each day. I have two sandwich cutters-a heart and a star. The girls LOVE their sammies cut into shapes! It’s a great way to make the sammie exciting. Then, we choose a veggie - cucumbers, colored peppers, carrots (they love crunchy veggies), a fruit (apples, blueberries, peaches, strawberries) and one snack item - string cheese, apple sauce pouch, cracker, etc. Getting them involved in making their lunch keeps them excited and helps them feel a sense of ownership at lunchtime when they are excited to eat the lunch they made! Oh, and can’t forget Friday treat day! We add an Edoughble truffle - chocolate-covered Edoughble cookie dough ball - in their lunch Fridays for a fun treat!

While we consider all moms superheroes, for mompreneurs, finding balance and practicing self-care can sometimes feel like a third job. As our resident “marvelous mompreneur” we asked our founder Rana (mom to Emma and Riley) to provide a few tips to mompreneurs trying to do it all.
Rana: When I launched Edoughble, I was working full time AND 7months pregnant with my first daughter, Riley. I know, crazy…but there’s never going to be a perfect time to start a business (or have a child) so, in my opinion, you just have to jump in and be ok with learning as you go.
Q, Just dive into that deep end. We love it! Any advice for a mom who needs a confidence boost to make the leap?
Rana: If you're like most moms, you're the CEO, COO, and CFO of your household all rolled into one. In other words, you’re basically already running a business! It’s important not to get bogged down in what you don’t know because here's a secret...the fact that you've never done anything like this before is a good thing. It means you don't have to build your business "by the book" but in the way that works for you.
Rana: Who doesn’t? I always say it’s ok to be a little insane! It's so important for mompreneurs to remind themselves that each day is a moment in time. Make sure you have clear goals (overall, annual, quarterly and monthly) and create the tasks that will get you to achieve those goals.
As far as balancing work and parenthood, I am hyper-focused on staying present, wherever I am. If that means I have to enlist some help with household tasks during busy times or limit my email alerts when I’m at home, then that’s what I do. You need support to give 100% at work and at home.
My team shares weekly goals at the beginning of each week, and we all check in on progress at the end. This way we can pause and celebrate accomplishments rather than moving on to the next big goal without at least giving those successes, no matter how small, some love.
Hope you enjoyed this chat with our fearless leader and fantastic mommy, Rana! Happy “Marvelous Mompreneur” Day to all our founders our there and treat yourself to something special today!

Pump up the jams
Ok, this is a gimme. But we dare you to throw on Chumbawumba’s Tubthumping and not at least feel the urge to start shaking what your mama gave you. This song is especially useful if someone bummed you out since the first (and pretty much only) lyric is "I get knocked down…but I get up again! You're never going to keep me down!" When you listen to upbeat music, your brain produces serotonin and dopamine, two naturally occurring chemicals that can pretty much instantly lift your spirits. So even if you feel like typing “Sad Emo Mix” into Spotify, force yourself to try “Songs to Sing in the Shower” instead and give yourself 15 minutes to get into the groove.

Sniff sniff…a little citrus
A glass of orange or grapefruit juice can be THE perfect start to any Sunday brunch, but have you ever considered getting your nose in on the action? Your sense of smell is tied to the limbic system, which is the part of the brain that controls emotion and learning. So, giving yourself a whiff of lemon, orange, or tangerine is sure to trigger a release of endorphins that may help chase those doldrums away. Whether you indulge in an adorable essential oil set or just slice a lemon in half and inhale, these Vitamin-C packed fruits will boost energy and alertness for a little spring in your step.
Go natural
Lately, it seems like there’s been a shift away from burying our faces in our phones 24-7, which we LOVE because the research is stacking up that too much social media is making us…um, miserable. On the flip side, looking at nature is a wonderful way to ease stress. Whether you take a few minutes to start ordering seeds for your spring garden or just take a walk through a local park, green spaces can help you feel connected and calm. And if you can’t get away from your office, just a couple of minutes looking at nature on a computer screen has been proven to increase positivity.
Hug it out
A simple touch can be a magical thing. When we get close to someone we love, whether it’s a spouse, a kid, or even a pet, our brains secrete oxytocin, a chemical sometimes called the "cuddle hormone." Associated with happiness and reduced stress, oxytocin can actually reduce your blood pressure and suppress stress hormones like norepinephrine. Those are some pretty great benefits for a little snuggle. So, if you’re feeling blue, don’t be afraid to ask someone you love to wrap you up in a big bear hug. Because guess what, huggers get stress relief benefits too!
Be sweet
Mary Poppins was onto something. A spoonful of sugar may help the medicine go down, but it also reduces cortisol levels, a stress hormone. Two tablespoons of sugar (or about 25-30 grams) have been shown to activate serotonin receptors and reduce stress. So, we say, use those two tablespoons wisely! If you’re looking for the straight dough (insert laugh/cry emoji), check out our CommanDOUGHs. Four of your favorite doughs Peanut Butta Batter, Plain Jane, Dough Schmo, and Brownie Batter without mix-ins. Simple, delicious dough perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up.
We really hope these 5 ideas will come in handy when life hits you with a bad day. Hang in there and know that your friends, family, and favorite cookie dough company think that that you are the absolute best.
]]>In the spirit of awards season, we thought it would be fun to give out some props to the flavors you all are loving with a capital L. Based on your notes, tweets, grams, and likes, we’re proud to present The First Annual Doughie Awards! 🏆
Let’s skip that awkward song and dance number they always try to make happen and get straight to the fun!
Best Performance by a Duo: Salt N’ Swirl Caramel
Peanut Butta Cup, you were so darn close, with your dark chocolate cookie dough having-peanut butter ribboning self, but Salt N’ Swirl got you in the end. That heady mix of thick, sweet caramel and sugar cookie dough kissed by just a touch of salt was just too delicious to deny. Pick up your swag bag that way, Salt N’ Swirl. Bravo.
Best Use of Actual Movie Concessions: Candy Crush
They say the best performances come from what you know, and if there's one thing you know, Candy Crush, it's how to work…that…candy. I mean, it would be easy for that silky whipped vanilla dough to steal the scene, but the way you work in those sweet, candy-coated milk chocolate pieces shows you're a real pro. Clear some room on that trophy case for one more.
Most Doughlicious Leading Man: Snicker-Dude
What can we say, Snicker-Dude? Once your fans get a taste of your sweet side, everyone just wants to eat you up with a spoon. Cinnamony cookie dough with just a dusting of sugar and spice gets us every time. So, don’t play tough guy with us. Underneath it all, we know you’re just a big softie (who pairs great with vanilla ice cream, fwiw!)
Breakout Star of the Year: Gingerbread Girl
You started out as an instant holiday classic, but we can’t seem to quit you, sweet girl! If we have our way, you’ll be starring in a fourth of July blockbuster with your gingersnap, molasses, and vanilla frosting vibes. Some thought you were a one-hit wonder, but we know you've got the stuff to stay on the scene for a long time. At least until next December.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Chocolate Chip Off The Ol’ Block
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the chocolate chip cookie than with a nod to our Ol’ Chip! As one of our pioneering flavors, we’ve been through thick and thin (and back to thick and back to thin) together. But once we found just the right consistency, you stole the show and our hearts. You deserve all the love you get, CCOTOB. Make sure you hit all the best parties with those premium Callebaut dark chocolate chips!
Congratulations to all our winners and we’ll be tuning in with you on Sunday to see who steals that show!
]]>Oh, hello again. Don’t mind us… we’re just jamming to this #GIRLHERO Spotify mix we cued up to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Look, you don’t need us to tell you that from 23-time Grand Slam singles champ Serena Williams 🎾 to Sarah Thomas, the first female ref ever to officiate an NFL game 🏈, women are kicking you know what and taking names in the world of professional sports.
That’s why we’re so pumped to give a shout out to the girls across the country who are leaving it all on the field, court, and ice every day.
]]>Look, you don’t need us to tell you that from 23-time Grand Slam singles champ Serena Williams 🎾 to Sarah Thomas, the first female ref ever to officiate an NFL game 🏈, women are kicking you know what and taking names in the world of professional sports.
That’s why we’re so pumped to give a shout out to the girls across the country who are leaving it all on the field, court, and ice every day.
In the words of Queen Bey, “Who run the world?” Girls.
“But Edoughble,” we hear you wondering out loud, “what does the world’s finest cookie dough have to do with exceptionally sporty ladies?”
Well, we’re proud to include many naturally athletic-performance enhancing foods in our doughs. And, while no one’s advocating that you should take down a pint of Milk n’ Cookies before a season-defining track meet, a couple of post-performance scoops can give your body and brain some good old-fashioned, muscle-recovering TLC. Not to mention your taste buds!
Here, let us show you what we mean.
Natural peanut butter
Whether you’re a creamy, chunky or an “I don’t care just give me the jar” peanut butter person, we’re happy to tell you that this spreadable staple belongs on your shelf. Loaded with protein, fiber (who knew?), and healthy fat, a scoop or two of peanut butter can help keep your blood sugar stable so you can power through that late afternoon practice.
Since peanut butter is high in magnesium, it can also help regulate your body temperature, maintain a healthy nervous system, and rid your body of toxins. So Peanut Butta Cup? You just earned a spot in our post-game round up. Congrats!
Dark chocolate
Did you know that dark chocolate is one of the most antioxidant rich foods on earth? Happy dance!
If that weren’t enough, dark chocolate is also loaded with minerals, soluble fiber, and the compounds in the cocoa may even mildly improve your blood pressure. Can it make omelets too? I mean, come on!
But seriously, based on some recent research, it seems dark chocolate may even boost athletic performance due to its ability to increase nitric oxide. Go, dark chocolate, go! Oh, and Chocolate Chip off the Old Block? You’re coming with us.
Applesauce
Even nutritionists agree that a bit of sugar, like the fructose that naturally occurs in apples and applesauce, can be helpful when it comes to high intensity exercise. That’s why, when coupled with its fiber content and vitamin C game, applesauce gets a thumbs up.
In fact, before the Summer Olympic games in Beijing, 6000 tubes of applesauce we distributed among the athletes as they boarded their flights. You don’t get much sportier than Olympians! So, let’s hear it for applesauce, athletic performance enhancer and star ingredient in Snicker-Dude (and all our other doughs for that matter!)
So, ladies, go on and keep shaking up the world of sports. Keep working hard, eating right, and reaching for those stars. We’re loving watching you fly. 🌠
]]>It’s almost here, folks. That day when the bluebirds sing a bit louder, stars shine a bit brighter, and the whole world anticipates an exciting night ahead.

And whether you’ve found (or are even looking for) Mister or Miss Right, Valentine’s Day is a day to spoil yourself and all your faves with all the ❤️ they can handle. And we’ve got the perfect place to start.
Our Be Mine Gift Box.

And whether you’ve found (or are even looking for) Mister or Miss Right, Valentine’s Day is a day to spoil yourself and all your faves with all the ❤️ they can handle. And we’ve got the perfect place to start.
Our Be Mine Gift Box.
A little sweet and a little spicy, this treat-packed box will make you think you’ve been shot through the heart with one of Cupid’s arrows!
Another fab collab, this time with those hot tamales over at Little Bird Kitchen, the Be Mine Box features two limited edition flavors guaranteed to light up your night.
The first, Flamin’ Chocolate Chip, folds sea-salt sprinkled, milk-chocolate covered candied jalapeños into our famous OG dough. Is your chin off the floor yet?
You may think you’re ready for the head-spinning combo of Little Bird’s hot and sweet Fire Bites® against the backdrop of our rich, velvety dough, but you’re not. Once you bite into it, you’ll never think about “hot chocolate” the same way again. Trust.
The second featured flave is This Chocolate is Lit! And is it ever.
This caliente confection swirls Little Bird’s Fire Syrup®, think honey with a serious kick, into our rich chocolate brownie dough. The result is literally straight 🔥. With dark chocolate chips setting off the spicy sweetness of the syrup (say that three times fast), promise us you’ll look up from the carton once in a while so that your significant other gets a little attention on this most romantic of days.
All this decadence and we haven’t even mentioned that you also get Milk n’ Cookies AND Candy Crush in this box! You guys are seriously SO spoiled.
So, what are you waiting for? Get your Valentine (or your “secret Valentine” who’s actually uh…you) sorted out well before the big day. A “Be Mine” Box may be just the beginning of the best Valentine’s Day ever.
]]>While some us may have been hoping for a robotic dog or an automatic laundry folder under the tree (no really, that’s a thing!) others (woman raising her hand emoji) are more than ready for a little break from technology. So, let’s all put down our new Pixel 3s together and take some time to get reacquainted with the analog world. Each of these 5 relaxing activities offer all sorts of benefits so what do you have to lose? Instagram’s not going anywhere, we promise.
]]>Knitting
Think “Knit one, purl two” is some sort of crazy new coding language? For shame. What was once an activity relegated to sweet grannies, is now one of the hottest hobbies around.
Experts agree that the repetitive action of needlework can induce relaxation on par with meditation or yoga. That means once you get past the stress of learning how to do it, knitting may help lower your heart rate and blood pressure! Sounds like Grandma was onto something, areweright?
Handwriting letters
We know, we know…you just got done sending out holiday cards. BUT, writing letters is a wonderful way to practice self-expression and let someone special know just how important they are to you.
Take the “ugh” out of written correspondence with impossibly cute stationary like this ice cream themed set. Once you find a proper pen pal or two, you'll be amazed by how magical it feels to get a bona fide letter in the mail, instead of just a lousy cable bill.
Long walks
Whether you’re usually barreling down a city sidewalk or strolling down a country trail, getting outside can do your body and your brain a world of good. Unfortunately, in this age of 10-hour work days, leisurely walks are usually a luxury for most of us.
So why not suggest walking meetings to your company management? Sure, if you’ve got some massive presentation that requires teleconferencing and handouts, this probably won't fly. But for weekly status meetings, getting outside can boost collaboration and productivity.
Books
When you need to lose yourself in a sinkful of dirty dishes or focus on finding uh…ALL the matches to your kids' socks, audiobooks are the bomb. With a pair of wireless headphones, you can stay productive and not miss a beat in the whodunit you just downloaded from Audible.
But reading books…REAL BOOKS… can be a huge boon to your brain. According to Wired Magazine, the act of flipping pages helps your mind contextualize subject matter much better than if you were to read words on a tablet. So treat yourself to a new paperback this month, and get back to the chores in February. (laugh/crying emoji)
French Press Coffee
If you’ve been fascinated, but maybe a bit intimidated, by making French Press coffee at home, this is the year to dive in with two feet. Not only will grinding your own coffee save you money, but it will also give you total control over the beans you use and the strength of java you brew (plus it's super impressive when people come over!)
Not quite sold on the French Press? No worries. Get your coffee fix with our out of this world Cold Brew Espresso Chip dough. Dark chocolate espresso beans tossed into Cold Brew infused-cookie dough? Now that we think about it, you may never go back to actual coffee again.
And so, our newly cultured friends, don’t be afraid to put the phone down and experience new things. It’s healthy for you and provides a whole new world of new things to text about with your friends.
]]>While the beginning of the year is a great time to try to let go of bad habits, New Year's resolutions are also the perfect time to try something entirely new.
And if you’re not ready to jump out of an airplane or you can’t get the time off work to travel around the world, how about experimenting with a few new ways to enjoy your favorite cookie dough? Read on for some deliciously daring ideas…
]]>2019 is just a few days away, and we've got one more celebration before the onslaught of resolutions begin.
“More kale smoothies! Less trash TV! Clothes actually IN the hamper, no on the floor next to it!”
Ok, that last one may be too much to ask, but we can always try our best. 😋
While the beginning of the year is a great time to try to let go of bad habits, New Year's resolutions are also the perfect time to try something entirely new.
And if you’re not ready to jump out of an airplane or you can’t get the time off work to travel around the world, how about experimenting with a few new ways to enjoy your favorite cookie dough? Read on for some deliciously daring ideas…
A paleo pick-me-up
If you’re trying to cut back on sugar, these cute little sammys are a great way to enjoy a treat without going overboard. Featuring Hakuna Banana’s non-dairy frozen dessert (or your favorite gelato or sorbet) these are a snap to make and a ton of fun to pull out of the freezer when you need a little something sweet.
Cheesecake, pronto
Did you know that your favorite dough can easily double as an out of this world cheesecake crust? It’s true! And there are no ovens involved, so if you need a project for little ones, this is a delicious choice. Take a look at this video to see how easy it is to turn a few ingredients into tonight’s dessert.
The perfect party game
Pop quiz time! How well do you know your doughs? If you’re looking for a fun game for a shower, bachelorette party or just a Saturday night in, grab a six-pack of our favorite doughs and try and guess which flavor is which. All you need is a blindfold, some friends, and a boatload of spoons (unless double dipping is your thing.) 😂
Perfection in a roll
It’s time for some cinnamon-y madness with that scrumptious Snicker-dude. Don’t let making rolls from scratch put you off from trying this recipe (we’re trying new things, remember!?) It’s just a few very un-scary ingredients to mix together before you're spreading that delightful dough over your batter. And then set your timer for 45 minutes to the best homemade rolls you’ve ever eaten.
Poppable fun
Cake pops continue to be all the rage, but why go through all the trouble of making a cake when you can just scoop and roll some of your favorite dough?
Pick up some plain old lollipop sticks at the dollar store and grab your favorite Edoughble flavor. Roll your dough balls in melted chocolate, add some sprinkles and pop in the fridge to cool. These treats fly off the plate at play dates, bake sales, or pretty much anywhere you find kids. And since they’re pretty teeny, you can practice your family’s “sweets in moderation” resolution too!
Now, grab your noisemakers and champagne and let’s get this 2019 party started! You’ve got no excuses now not to follow through with the most a-dough-rable resolution ever. #letsdoughthis #moredoughpunsin2019
See you next year!
And who can blame us, really? Butter, sugar, chocolate chips, cinnamon swirls…it’s almost too much to ask of us to keep our spoons (and fingers) out of that pillowy pile that’s just daring us to take a smooth, gooey, delicious bite.
“It’s these dumb salmonella-prone eggs that have completely ruined my holiday,” you may think as you grumpily stare into your mixing bowl.
And, well, you’re half right. There are a few ways that eggs can become contaminated that we won’t go into in case you haven’t had lunch yet, but there’s another culprit behind the proposed ban on your favorite guilty pleasure.
Raw flour.
“Huh?” you say accusingly, “Now you’re just making things up.”
Alas, ‘tis true. According to the CDC, flour is a raw agricultural product that hasn’t yet been treated to kill bacteria and germs. So anything gnarly that your flour came into contact with in the field or the processing plant is still there and just waiting to do a number on your digestive tract.
But (you can probably tell where we’re going with this) when flour is baked or cooked, the contaminants are killed off in the heat. Which means your fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies are perfectly safe to eat.
So where does this leave a country of cookie dough lovers? Well, to people that don’t know about us yet, out of luck.
But because you’re smarter than the average bear and know that you don’t have to risk three days sick in bed for your favorite treat, you’re no worse for the wear. Just Edoughble it up.
Here are a few ways to do it:
New Falalalavor alert!
Put your hands together for Brown Butter Pecan Brrritle. We took brown butter dough (which is enough to make angels sing on its own) mixed in some sweet, buttery homemade brittle and topped it with cinnamon and pecans. It’s basically the holidays on a spoon.
Holiday DIYaaaaas
Mix and match your own custom confections with our Holiday Dough It Yourself Kit. This cute as a button pack offers a mix of “naked” doughs that you can add chocolate chips, sprinkles, and even peppermint marshmallows too! Pro tip: this kit also makes THE perfect white elephant or Secret Santa gift.
A better duet that Baby It’s Cold Outside
Do not sleep on our Baby Boy Bakery Holiday Duo. It’s the perfect collab between our founder Rana and author and creator of Baby Boy Bakery, Jacqui. Featuring Gingerbread Girl, a mix of fresh gingersnaps and gingerbread dough and vanilla frosting, and White Chocolate Peppermint Brownie, fudgy homemade brownies with chocolate dough and a kiss of peppermint, this box is one they’ll want to open early.
So, don’t despair, friends! There’s a solution to your dough woes. And here at Edoughble, we want to wish you all a safe, happy and delicious holiday. ❤️
