EDOUGHBLE RICE KRISPIE TREATS
Snap. Crackle. POP! Aside from cookie dough, there is nothing more than good ol’ fashion Rice Krispie Treats that remind me of those carefree days of childhood. And we all know the secret to the best rice krispie treats, right?! Double the butter and double the marshies! So I have been curious for a while to know what these would taste like if I added Edoughble to them. Thank you long weekend, I found 15 minutes to make these and they are INSANE! You also only need BUTTER, RICE KRISPIES, MINI MARHSMALLOWS, and ANY FLAVOR OF EDOUGHBLE COOKIE DOUGH! That’s right, 4 ingredients and 15 minutes and your kids, friends, family, neighbors and tummy will all be very pleased (may even jump for joy) or really just keep asking for more, as my 3.5 year old Riley kept doing. But more than she did, I seriously could not stop cutting off narrow edges of the squares and snacking on them every time I walked by the kitchen counter. Someone, please cut me off. ENJOY!
Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons of butter
5 Cups mini marshmallows
6 cups rice krispies
½ Pint of COLD Edoughble (I used Chocolate Chip off the ol block but really any flavor would be amazing)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir until melted
Add the rice krispies and mix until well incorporated.
Add ½ cup (about 4oz) of Edoughble – because the dough will be cold and more firm, it will soften slightly when you stir it into the warm-ish marshmallow/krispie mix but won’t melt the chocolate chips.
Topping: Chunks of Edoughble Cookie Dough!!! DUH!
Chill for about 2 hours in the fridge and slice into squares. I actually loved the smaller snacking squares... mmmmmmm!
